A full five-lesson introduction to the Seven Years' War for Grade 7 History, taught in an Ontario classroom and shared exactly as it ran. The unit opens with the long- and short-term causes of the war, works through the campaign for Quebec and the fall of New France, and closes with a recap lesson that pulls the sequence together. Students meet the war from more than one perspective throughout, British, French and First Nations, rather than as a single narrative. What is included: - Five detailed lesson plans, each with Ontario overall and specific expectations, learning goals, success criteria, assessment strategy, accommodations and a timing breakdown - Three classroom slide decks (Lesson 1, Lesson 2 and the Recap) - A fill-in-the-blanks consolidation handout - A student reference sheet on the war Every lesson is written to a 45-minute period and flags where it can be stretched or trimmed. Assessment is built in as you go rather than bolted on at the end. Written by a Brock University teacher candidate during a Grade 7 History placement.
